2. Private Markets Tech Stack Assessment

Many Private Markets firms operate a patchwork of legacy systems and spreadsheets. FINARCH’s Tech Stack Assessment service evaluates a client’s existing technology holistically and provides strategic recommendations to optimize the enterprise architecture. Designing a target architecture for the client’s technology stack. We identify which systems may need replacement, consolidation, or integration to meet the firm’s goals.

Our team consider the strengths and weaknesses of available third party software solutions and how they would fit into the client’s ecosystem. The result is a high-level architecture blueprint that outlines the ideal arrangement of platforms (for example, a core fund management system integrated with CRM, investor portal, data warehouse, and analytics tools).

We ensure this blueprint aligns with the client’s business processes and growth plans, providing a scalable and future-proof solution.

Integration and Data Strategy

A critical aspect of the assessment is planning how systems will connect and share data. At FINARCH, we specialize in system integration for both public and private markets.  We are fluent in the language of data and the APIs of leading investment management systems.

3. Private Markets Project Implementation

Once a Private Markets technology solution is selected and a strategy is in place, FINARCH drives the Project Implementation from inception to successful go-live. We act as the client’s dedicated implementation partner, managing all aspects of deployment to ensure a seamless system integration and effective data migration.

During this phase, FINARCH provides end-to-end project management, technical execution, and domain guidance, including:

 Project Planning & Governance

FINARCH establishes a detailed project plan and governance structure at the outset. We define clear project milestones, workstreams, and responsibilities, aligning with the client’s internal teams and any third-party vendors.

 System Configuration & Development

Our team assists with the configuring of the new software solution to fit the client’s operating model. We tailor system parameters, workflows, and user interfaces in line with the requirements defined earlier. Where needed, FINARCH oversees custom development – for example, building bespoke modules, custom reports, or enhanced analytics – to address any gaps between out-of-the-box functionality and the client’s needs. Throughout configuration, we keep an eye on future maintainability, using best practices recommended by the software provider and our own experience with similar implementations.

Data Migration

Migrating historical data into the new system is a crucial (and often challenging) part of Private Markets system implementations.

Integration Development:

We prepare cut-over plans detailing the steps for switching from old systems to new, often scheduling the final data loads and deployments during a weekend or low-activity period to minimize business disruption. Our team is on-site (or on-call) during the go-live to triage any unexpected issues in real time and to support users in the initial days of using the new system. We ensure that contingencies are in place (such as backup of legacy data, rollback plans) although our thorough testing greatly reduces the need for these.
