FINARCH’s System Upgrade Service - Seamless Planning and Execution for Asset Managers

FINARCH offers a structured, end-to-end system upgrade service tailored to asset managers and other capital market participants.  This service has been successfully used by numerous clients for several of the leading systems used in the industry, which is cost efficient and ensures minimal disruption.  It has been used by our clients (stand-alone) where the client and FINARCH team have performed the entire upgrade internally, and has been used to compliment vendor provided services which have their own system upgrade testing team.

An upgrade project (sample timeline below), typically consists of the following two phases:

Phase 1 - Planning Phase

The Planning Phase begins with a collaborative effort to define the project scope, aligning system upgrade objectives with the client’s operational and strategic goals. Our team conducts a detailed analysis of vendor-provided Patch/Release notes, identifying critical updates and performing an impact assessment to evaluate how changes will affect existing workflows, and integrations. This phase also includes developing a robust test strategy and creating comprehensive test cases designed to validate functionality, data integrity, and user acceptance. By addressing risks early and establishing clear benchmarks, FINARCH equips clients with a roadmap that prioritizes stability, regulatory adherence, and seamless transition.

Phase 2 - Execution Phase

The Execution Phase transforms planning into action, starting with rigorous regression testing to ensure existing functionalities remain intact post-upgrade. FINARCH manages end-to-end test execution, leveraging automation and manual testing to streamline processes and maintain accountability. Our experts oversee test management, tracking defects, resolving issues, and ensuring all stakeholders are aligned through transparent reporting.

Finally, we orchestrate deployment and go-live support, including cutover planning, user training, and real-time monitoring to mitigate downtime. Post-launch, FINARCH typically remains engaged to address unforeseen challenges, ensuring the upgraded system delivers enhanced performance, scalability, and alignment with the evolving needs of asset managers. This phased approach guarantees clients a resilient, future-ready infrastructure while maintaining operational continuity.
